I Love General Conference

I am excited for General Conference for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints this weekend. I love the talks and the spirit that is in our home. I not only love Conference, but I really love getting together with family and having traditions. We have a tradition of making chicken salad croissants and peanut butter rice crispies a.k.a. scotcharoos and getting together with family.
What are your traditions for Conference Weekend?

I found your blog trying to figure out a good tradition for my new family. Hmmm ... I'll have to come back after people have commented!

We always like to make french fries between sessions, and we're trying to start a new tradition of going camping the weekend after every conference to rotate that darn food storage around!

I was thinking of how much I love watching conference! Yesterday's afternoon session was so neat with the children's choir. Every Conference Sunday my mom's family gets together in Ogden with lots of people and great food. I love family and our little traditions.

Hey Shanna! I found your blog on Tiffany Hawkes'. Look at your new little one, she's precious! And your twins are getting SO big! I hope all is well!

We have no traditions. Some sessions, if I'm lucky, my husband lets me lock myself in my room while I watch and journal about conference, so the kids don't drive me nuts! I guess that's kind of a tradition???

Sorry, I'm a little late. But every time we get together on Saturday afternoon and have papa murphy's pizza and then the guys go to priesthood together and the girls will make doughnuts or scones for when they come home. Sometimes we will alternate and do our fried thing sunday morning which is also scones or albelskivers (sp?). But to do fried things saturday and sunday had to be knocked out. =) I think we each gain at least 2 pounds from the 2 days together!
